Professor Prodromakis provided an overview of the Foundation funded projects at Southampton, including ICON.  The visit provided an opportunity for Fauziya to see the world-class cleanroom facilities and meet some of the ICON students who are based in Southampton.  ICON student Ben, seen here explaining his research, has recently commenced his Foundation studentship exploring the potentials of Aluminium batteries – the prospect is very exciting!

We also took the opportunity to showcase ICON's outreach work with young students, most recently in a workshop arranged in collaboration with the Royal Academy of Engineering.
